Lehmans named Prescott Daze Grand Marshals

Carroll and Karen Lehman have served the Prescott community for many years, and they recently received the honor of being named the Prescott Daze Grand Marshals.

"It is quite an honor and a surprise," Karen Lehman said.

Karen Lehman has worked with the Prescott Chamber of Commerce for several years as the chamber coordinator. She coordinated different events including for the chamber, and she assisted with Prescott Daze in various capacities.

"We're really happy about it," Carroll Lehman said about the honor. "We love Prescott, and we're really happy about this honor."

Carroll Lehman worked as the superintendent for the Prescott School District for 14 years until 2002. He was known for sending notes to students from families he knew in the district whenever they achieved something and/or it was mentioned in the paper. He has kept up the practice since retiring.

The Lehmans will be in the Prescott Daze Parade as the Grand Marshals on Sunday, September 12.
